Good Wishes from Africa

This letter is the last correspondence received on January 3, 2012 from the Natal group.

Good Evening Friends!

Firsty I would like to say compliments for the new season! God has mercy on us to allow us to see the new year as many of us did not see the new year; we hope that it will only bring good things to all of us. I would also like to update you once again about how we spent the money that we received in November and the remaining balance we had before we received your latest sum. The reason for the delay about the update is that we have lost another family member in a very short period of time after we buried another cousin of ours so it is with great sadness to inform you those bad news. The worst part is that I had to help his siblings taking care of him because they are young and couldn’t do everything on their own as their mother passed on in 2008. This cousin started to get sick on 28/10/2011 and it got worse up to the point where we had to send him to hospital after he collapsed. He recovered from this but he got ill again until he passed on the 25th of December 2011 and was buried on the 30th of December 2011. So that what kept me from communicating with you. The recent money we received was used as follows:
-  Mealie Meal
-  Cake Flour
-  Sugar
-  Oil
-  Rice
-  Biscuits
-  Drinks

I decided to hand out the food parcels on the 16th of December on the very same day where there was a year end party for kids and the grannies The amount we spent for the party included the meals, refreshments and party packs. The rest of the money will be spent on the school fees as we are approaching the school reopen on the 11th of January 2012. Some of the money will help them on the school uniforms. The grannies were very much delighted to receive the booklet that you prepared for them, they were very happy to see the pictures of the Canadian seasons and to meet the Wakefield Grannies. It is such a blessing to have people like you as part of our lives.

May our good God keep all of us under the shadow of His wings.

Yours Faithfull Phindile and Asimbonge Ubaba Group
